EXQUISITE WATERCOLOUR PAINTING
Length: 8 weeks Cost: $245
This course will teach the time-honoured techniques associated with the exquisite transparency of watercolour. This is an exciting opportunity to learn the correct techniques when using this medium. This course is designed for beginners and painters seeking a better understanding of techniques. There will be ongoing demonstrations and discussions dealing with the properties of watercolour pigments, colour mixing and composition. Emphasis will be on helping students to a fuller understanding of this misunderstood medium, to exploit it with confidence. This course will deal with learning to resolve problems, extending personal boundaries, and developing visual awareness while completing finished artworks.

WATERCOLOUR PAINTING- CAPTURING THE LANDSCAPE, PAINTING FROM PHOTOS
Length: 8 weeks Cost: $245
The essence of watercolour is the traditional, impressionistic landscape. You will learn how to plan and create finished compositions based on the observation of the landscape working in the studio from photos. The class will accommodate all levels of students and we will give daily demonstrations covering subjects such as painting skies, water, boats, buildings, vegetation, capturing a sense of distance, etc. Each class will present new scenes and new challenges in painting the landscape and you will learn how to capture the moment in watercolours and produce a finished artwork in one sitting. Marine, landscape and urban subjects will be painted and students are required to bring suitable reference material.
