SCULPTURE OF THE FEMALE PORTRAIT FROM THE LIFE MODEL

Length: 8 weeks Cost: $265

This class is designed to develop the study of the female head in clay and achieve the characteristics of the sitter. You will learn the cranial anatomy through the exploration of the quality and properties of clay. Whether you have never touched clay or have advanced sculpting skills, this course offers a clear method to master the fundamentals of three-dimensional rendering, as well as develop advanced skills that radically improve your ability to see and understand the portrait. This class will teach figurative modelling and will take the students though the steps of building the portrait in clay, looking at the fundamentals of proportion, scale and modelling techniques. You will develop the construction of representational pieces using traditional skills.
