CONTEMPORARY RELIEF SCULPTURE USING TRADITIONAL SKILLS WITH CLAY
Length: 8 weeks Cost: $245
A relief sculpture is a modelled form on a two-dimensional background. If you have never done sculpture or would like to further develop your skills as well as improve your ability to understand the construction of representational pieces, you will develop an understanding of the properties of clay and their building capacity, looking at the fundamentals of proportion, scale and modelling techniques. The completed artworks are fired in a kiln (finishes may be applied), they make great wall plaques, water or garden features.
